Shizhishe held the -Diplomatic Knowledge Competition- and the Renmin University of China team won the -Knowledge Expert- award

Beijing, October 26 (Reporter Xie Yanbing) — Recently, the World Knowledge Publishing Society, in collaboration with the Beijing Wangfu Public Welfare Foundation and other organizations, hosted the “Diplomatic Knowledge Competition.”

Over 1,500 students from more than 40 universities participated in the preliminary round. Six universities, including Renmin University of China, the China Foreign Affairs University, the School of International Relations, Shandong University, Sichuan University, and Yunnan University, made it to the finals. After a fierce competition, the team from Renmin University was awarded the title of “Knowledge Expert.” The teams from the China Foreign Affairs University and Shandong University received the “Emerging Diplomat” award, while teams from Yunnan University, Sichuan University, and the School of International Relations were recognized as “Outstanding Teams.”

On October 25, during the event commemorating the founding of “World Knowledge” and the 90th anniversary of the World Knowledge Publishing Society, several notable figures presented the awards. Among those in attendance were Sun Weidong, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hong Lei, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wu Shangzhi, President of the China Periodical Association, Lu Cairong, Vice President of the China Publishing Association, Cui Chun, Chairman of World Knowledge Publishing Society, and Pan Jun, Chairman of the Beijing Wangfu Public Welfare Foundation.

Additionally, organizers arranged for participating students to engage in hands-on learning experiences. Students and teachers toured the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse to explore the history of state diplomacy, visited Dongjiao Minxiang to understand historical changes, viewed a documentary exhibition on the diplomatic history of the People’s Republic of China, and attended a regular press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they interacted with the spokesperson.

Participants consistently noted that the competition deepened their understanding of international relations theory, the remarkable history of China’s diplomacy, and the practicalities of diplomatic work.
