Zhu Xueliang, former first-level inspector of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Anhui Provincial Committee, was expelled from the party
Recently, the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, an investigation has been opened into Zhu Xueliang, a former first-level inspector of the Provincial Political and Legal Committee, for serious violations of discipline and law.
According to the findings, Zhu Xueliang, as a party leader and member, has lost his ideals and convictions, straying from his original mission. He has demonstrated disloyalty and insincerity towards the party, betraying the trust and cultivation from the organization. He has failed to effectively fulfill his responsibility regarding strict party governance, severely undermining the political environment in the regions where he served. Ignoring the central government’s eight-point regulations, Zhu engaged in unethical practices by accepting gifts, money, and consumer cards, as well as inappropriate invitations for banquets and travel arrangements.
Zhu’s actions reflect a breach of the ethical bottom line, as he participated in profit-making activities in violation of regulations, imposed fees on management and service objects, and failed to maintain personal integrity and a proper family ethos, leading to a lack of supervisory and educational engagement with his relatives. He exploited his position to benefit others with regard to project procurement, business operations, and personnel adjustments, illegally receiving substantial amounts of money and valuables.
Zhu’s conduct represents serious violations of the party’s political, organizational, disciplinary, and public conduct codes, amounting to significant job-related offenses and alleged bribery, which persisted even after the 18th Communist Party National Congress. His case’s severity and negative impact warrant strict consequences. In accordance with the “Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China,” the “Supervisory Law of the People’s Republic of China,” and the “Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Officials,” it was decided, following discussions by the Anhui Provincial Discipline Inspection Committee and with provincial approval, to expel Zhu from the party. His official benefits will be revoked, his illicit gains confiscated, and his case will be referred to the judicial authorities for legal review and prosecution, along with the associated assets.
