Joint exhibition of Asian artists opens at Flushing City Hall to showcase -Immigrant Diversity-

The “2nd Asian Artists Exhibition in Queens, New York” recently kicked off at Flushing Town Hall, embracing the theme of “Coexistence and Diversity Among Immigrants.” This exhibition presents over 30 pieces from 12 contemporary Asian artists, offering a multifaceted look at immigrant identities, multiculturalism, historical memory, and the ways these themes intersect in our current social landscape.

Curator Pang Xueling shared insights on the exhibition’s focus, emphasizing the interconnectedness of immigrant identity, multiculturalism, historical memory, and various artistic styles. She believes it captures the multicultural essence of the Queens community and illustrates how different cultural elements coexist and influence each other, contributing to a vibrant contemporary art scene.

Pang also highlighted that all the participating artists are based in Queens. Their diverse works showcase a wide range of identity and history, shaped by distinct social backgrounds. Through their visual art, these artists delve into how historical events shape personal identities and the significant role cultural heritage plays in their creative processes.

The exhibition is open to the public for free and will be on display until Monday, the 14th. Visitors can explore it at Flushing Town Hall, which is open from 12 PM to 5 PM at 137-35 Northern Boulevard.
