68-year-old Chinese woman from Staten Island goes missing, police call on ADAP to find her_1

A 68-year-old Chinese woman, Cui Mai Yu, has been reported missing in the northern part of Staten Island, prompting police to seek the public’s assistance in locating her. On Saturday, October 19th, the NYPD’s 120th Precinct received a report about her disappearance.

Cui Mai Yu lives on Franklin Avenue in the New Brighton area of Staten Island, situated between Prospect Avenue and Arnold Street. Her family last saw her at around 8 AM on the day she went missing. They described her as having fair skin, standing approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with graying hair and brown eyes. When last spotted, she was wearing a blue jacket, black pants, and black sneakers.

Her family has expressed deep concern for her safety. After searching the neighborhood and places she frequently visits without success, they decided to contact the police. As of now, authorities have not yet located Cui Mai Yu.

The police are urging anyone who may have seen a woman matching her description to call the hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). Information can be provided anonymously through the “CS-NYC” crime stop app, and all tips will remain confidential.
