On October 14, the Linping District Public Security Bureau in Hangzhou released an official statement regarding a disturbing incident. According to their report, at approximately 9:39 PM on October 13, a woman called the police to report that she was sexually assaulted by a stranger who forcibly kissed her at the entrance of a community in Donghu Street. Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene.

Law enforcement swiftly mobilized and, by around 7 PM the next day, apprehended a 58-year-old man named Wang, who is now in custody. Investigations into the case are ongoing.

Earlier reports indicated that the woman suffered a lip injury, with her lips being bitten during the assault, and she also sustained injuries to her arm.
