On October 17th, at the Changchun Water Culture Ecological Park, visitors were seen capturing memories with their cameras. In recent years, as the city has developed, many old factories in Changchun have gradually moved to new locations, leaving behind vacant industrial buildings that have now been transformed into significant industrial heritage parks. The Changchun Water Culture Ecological Park was formerly the Changchun Water Purification Plant. The combination of the plant’s remaining facilities, buildings, and surrounding vegetation creates a unique autumn landscape, attracting numerous tourists.
During our visit, we observed people leisurely walking through the park, soaking in the historical ambiance and scenic beauty. With the local government’s initiative to repurpose defunct industrial spaces into public parks, sites like these are becoming cherished gathering places for both locals and tourists alike. The blend of industrial history and natural beauty here at the Changchun Water Culture Ecological Park is truly a testament to the city’s adaptive spirit and commitment to preserving its past while embracing a vibrant future.
This transformation not only enhances public spaces but also educates visitors about the rich industrial heritage of Changchun. As we talked to tourists enjoying the park, it was evident that the charm of the autumn scenery and the historical significance of the area resonate deeply, making it a prominent destination in the city.
