At 75 years old, legendary hairstylist Trevor Sorbie has made a name for himself in the industry, creating iconic hairstyles for numerous celebrities including Paul McCartney and Helen Mirren. However, during an appearance on the show “This Morning,” he opened up about a deeply personal battle he’s facing—being diagnosed with terminal colorectal cancer.
Reflecting on the moment he received his diagnosis, Trevor shared, “One night, I was bleeding excessively and felt unusually anxious, so I rushed to the hospital. The results confirmed my worst fear: I had colorectal cancer, and I experienced a panic attack.” In a bid to save his life, he underwent a surgical procedure, but unfortunately, the cancer had already spread to his liver. He endured two separate surgeries, each lasting six and a half hours, totaling an arduous 13 hours on the operating table.
In September, Trevor had his final CT scan, where doctors informed him that “none of the treatments would work” because the tumor is now too large and too close to major blood vessels. Despite this bleak prognosis, he has come to terms with his situation and is focused on cherishing each day.
