Major reform of individual and family health insurance in 2025! Live lectures on November 1st in Irvine and November 2nd in Rowland Heights [Universal Insurance]!

The three-month open enrollment period for 2025 individual and family health insurance is set to officially kick off on November 1st. This year, Covered California has expanded its income guidelines, allowing more enrollees to qualify for premium assistance. At the same time, the income standards for Medi-Cal have also been raised, which could inadvertently leave some individuals falling into the Medi-Cal program without realizing it, potentially leading to challenges in finding doctors when health issues arise. Additionally, there is a significant change in the Silver Plan benefits this year; enrollees with incomes exceeding 250% of the federal poverty level can now opt for the more comprehensive Silver 73 Plan.

While the criteria for premium assistance have broadened, many enrollees may find their assistance reduced due to increased incomes. Coupled with an average health insurance premium hike of about 8% in California—some areas may see an even larger increase—health insurance costs continue to be a significant burden for families. What are some strategies to secure additional premium assistance? How should one navigate the situation if they accidentally qualify for Medi-Cal? For those who opt for a cheaper HMO plan, what is the best way to choose a healthcare network, doctor, or hospital? In the event of sudden injuries or illnesses, where can one seek care without facing exorbitant bills? If appointments with doctors are hard to come by, what alternative methods are available? And what should you do if you receive a medical bill that is difficult to understand?

To address these pressing questions, seasoned health insurance experts from Everybody Insurance will be hosting in-person “2025 Health Insurance Seminars” in Los Angeles on November 1st at 10 a.m. at the Irvine office, and on November 2nd at 10 a.m. at the Rowland Heights office. These seminars will provide an analysis of the latest health benefits and guidance in selecting the most suitable plans to help you legally lower your income and maximize your health insurance subsidies.
