On October 17, at 9 AM, the inaugural meeting of the Qinghai Province New Social Class Alliance was held in the reception hall on the first floor of the Qinghai Hotel. The meeting was attended by Ban Guo, a member of the Qinghai Provincial Committee and the Minister of the United Front Work Department, who delivered a speech. The meeting was presided over by Xiong Yuanlai, the Executive Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department.

Qinghai Province is home to approximately 700,000 members of the new social class, primarily distributed across four main groups: private enterprises, foreign-invested companies, intermediary organizations, and the new media sector.

In his remarks, Ban Guo emphasized that the New Social Class Alliance is a unique social organization characterized by its unifying, professional, and collegial nature, which distinguishes it from typical social groups due to its specific political responsibilities. He urged the Alliance to lead and promote high-quality development through technological innovation, actively exploring new models for attracting talent and intelligence in the context of the internet. This effort aims to gather high-end talent in fields that are currently underdeveloped, such as technological innovation, industrial development, and enterprise management, thus effectively addressing the talent shortfall crucial for ecological protection and high-quality growth in Qinghai.

He also highlighted the province’s unique socio-cultural characteristics, such as its multi-ethnic and multi-religious makeup, and urged a commitment to strengthen the consciousness of the Chinese national community. He called for a heartfelt implementation of the Party’s policies on ethnicity and religion, as well as a dedicated promotion of activities that foster ethnic unity and progress. The goal, he noted, is to build a solid ideological barrier to maintain national unity and ethnic solidarity.

Furthermore, Ban Guo stressed the importance of the Alliance enhancing its own development, focusing on five key areas: setting an exemplary leadership, innovating management models, creating practical innovation brands, reinforcing the responsibilities of its members, and strengthening organizational leadership. These efforts are intended to increase the organization’s cohesion and effectiveness, ensuring it can better serve society and its members.

The meeting concluded with the approval of the Articles of Association of the Qinghai Province New Social Class Alliance, followed by a direct election of its first president, vice-presidents, secretary-general, board members, chair of supervisors, and supervisors through a secret ballot.
