On October 10, the groundbreaking medical documentary “It’s Bad Emotion, It’s Okay” premiered on Bilibili, focusing on the crucial topic of mental and emotional health.
The documentary explores common psychological issues faced by individuals aged 20 to 40, delving into six specific emotions: fear, sadness, anger, disgust, confusion, and anxiety. Through the lens of patients’ gradual recovery, it showcases the collective efforts of healthcare professionals and society as a whole, highlighting advancements in both medicine and science.
Recently, a screening event was held at Beijing Normal University, where the film’s director Li Yong and producer Zhang Han engaged in a discussion with students about the documentary’s content. During the Q&A session, students eagerly participated, while Zhang Tongdao, director of the university’s Documentary Center and a professor in the School of Arts and Communication, along with Xu Xiaodan, a doctoral researcher in personality and social psychology, provided insightful responses. They offered an objective perspective on the origins of emotions and their impact on our lives.
