A dedicated exhibition area commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China featured over 700 themed books, including titles like “Ten Years of Great Leap” and “This Is China: The Power of China on the World Stage,” which revolve around topics such as significant practices in the new era, high-quality development, new productive forces, and Chinese-style modernization.
The event offered a wealth of activities, including the fifth “Belt and Road” Publishing Cooperation Experience Exchange Conference and the third “Co-Building, Sharing, and Joint Development” Seminar on Innovative Development in Chinese Publishing, among more than ten major industry events. Renowned authors such as Ma Boyong and Meng Man, along with scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, participated in over 800 public reading and cultural sharing activities. Additionally, over 50 new book events were organized, including the launch of “Walking the Ancient Shu Road,” which offers an American scholar’s perspective on the beauty and changes of the historical Shu Road, garnering significant attention.
In terms of international exchange, this year’s fair set up a panda-themed area in overseas sub-venues, including those in France and the UK, showcasing over 400 panda-themed books and cultural products that were well-received by international readers. For the first time, overseas sub-venues were established in Italy, Panama, and four other countries, hosting more than 30 traditional Chinese cultural experience activities, further expanding the Tianfu Book Fair’s international network.
