Israeli cabinet unanimously approves air strikes on Iran CNN- A second wave of strikes is underway
In the early hours of October 26, explosions were reported in Tehran, prompting confirmation from the Israeli military that they were conducting strikes on Iranian military targets. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office communicated to CNN that the country’s security cabinet unanimously voted in favor of initiating airstrikes against Iran. Sources familiar with Israeli operations indicated that by around 5 a.m. local time in Iran, the military actions were still ongoing, marking a second wave of assaults.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office noted that discussions among the security cabinet occurred just hours before the airstrikes were launched.
Following the explosion reports from Tehran, Israeli officials confirmed the attack on Iranian military installations earlier in the day.
While specifics regarding the number and nature of the military targets have not been disclosed by Israeli officials, it is anticipated that more detailed information will be released once the operations are complete.
