The seventh CIIE venue landscape decoration is fully finalized

The landscape design for the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) has been fully finalized, continuing the thematic style established in previous years with the motto “Embracing the World, Sharing the Future.” This year’s design focuses primarily on the South Square and the West Hall of the venue.

To enhance the visual appeal, the landscape in the South Square features an increased use of red flowers in a bid to optimize the color palette of the terraced flower sea area. Unique floral displays, including “CIIE” and “2024” designs, as well as multi-layered terraced flower beds and maze gardens, utilize vibrant plants such as orange and yellow marigolds and red zinnias to create patterns resembling auspicious clouds and gradients of mountainous scenery. This effort aims to cultivate a festive and welcoming atmosphere for the event. A striking “7” logo, creatively crafted from ornamental sweet potato vines, has also been introduced on the large lawn.

The landscape design in the South Square revolves around four interconnected themes: “Cloud Mountains—Terraced Flower Sea—Rivers—Modern Urban Gardens.” In total, approximately 680,000 potted plants, including pansies, zinnias, marigolds, salvia, sunflowers, and aquatic plants, cover an area of 10,500 square meters from south to north, showcasing the rich natural beauty of China in a spectacular 360-degree view.

The Conference Center (West Hall), integral to the expo’s landscape, draws inspiration from the “Sunrise in the East” theme. Its entrance features a sloped platform adorned with over 1,000 square meters of red zinnias, creating a solemn and vibrant welcome for visitors. Bougainvillea is used to connect various floral displays, enhancing the color gradient and contributing to a festive atmosphere with an elevated design that increases the landscape’s visual appeal.

Additionally, around 800,000 flowering plants are currently poised in anticipation of their bloom, set to reveal their stunning beauty by the grand opening on November 5th.
